soaking up excess water in grow chamber
    #2071695 - 11/05/03 01:04 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

my friend has a grow chamber that is currently being used for cakes and casings but in the future will be used for casings mainly. Around the corner of the tub is a small "moat" area where excess moisture gathers. Is there any reusable absorber thing? like something I could pick up and microwave for a minute. I'm looking for something that is reusable....

If you have casings in the fruiting chamber which are in rubbermaid containers or something else, you can take them out and just dump the container in the tub or sink. I wouldn't use a reusable absorbant like a spunge. Spunges end up stinking because of mold and mildew, we don't want to introduce that into our fruiting chamber. Just dump it out into a glass or something. Take out your casings and place them under a light on a clean surface while doing this. Give them cubies some direction.

any standing water in your grow area is bad news, but a lovely oasis for the contams to rest up in. they love it in there, and can while away the hours scrubbing each other's backs, smoking joints and generally sloshing about like some ancient roman gladiators in a communal bathhouse. ahem.

i recommend a cheap turkey basting thing, like a plastic syringe with a rubber teat - supermarkets sell them.
get rid of any standing water regularly.
