I'm looking into purchasing a personal peyote grow kit. Anyone ever ventured?

Oh Glorious Wise One-

The only place I found that sells seeds sells them with a grow kit. If you could find an alternative, that'd be super swell.

well i'm not sure on comercial vendors.
i've not had a lot of interest in growing them from seeds myself.
try searching for vendors with google.

Don't. Get seeds from people who sell and grow peyotes. Fresh peyote seeds will sprout within a week or two. Old seeds from most of these commercial entheogen websites either wont sprout or will take forever. Get your Lopho seeds from ebay S....2.4 - he rocks! Then just sprinkle them on yer soil mix, then keep em damp for a week, then keep them in diffused light for a year. That's it. What the hell comes in a fucking kit?

You can figure it out. We're not allowed to name sources, so I gave you a clue. You'll get it.

I know, I've seen 15-16 year olds sell in the 200's.

you can always graft your seedlings.
i've had great success grafting to epiphyllium (unrooted epi stems), even grafting ON areoles.
perhaps you might find pereskiopsis easier, hylocereus works too.
it's easy, no attachment needs, _piece of cake_.
oh btw, i did the experiment with other species (notocactus, gymnocalycium or echinopsis, random seedlings) but i can't see why it wouldn't work for lophs or any cactaceae.
