What was his crime? What was he being charged with that they could impede his 4th Amendment Rights?
"never got asked to get out of my car during a traffic stop"
Did you ever fail to produce your ID? My guess is you never failed to produce your ID, so why are you trying to make a comparison?
"What was his crime?"
Seatbelt violation, but as we already know passengers are required by law to produce ID and exit the vehicle if ordered by the police, the fact that they haven't committed a crime is meaningless.

In the CNN video, I didn't hear the police say they suspect him of a crime, did they?
your idealism is admirable but it's simply not the case. the cops dont have to tell you what you're being 'suspected of' and as has already been pointed out, he's in a state where the passengers have to ID themselves as well. the supreme court, the very court that only rules on constitutional issues has said that you are wrong. your videos of the DUI and 'immigration' checkpoints and shit are different because in these there is no violation of the law that was committed
if you're going to try and exercise your rights, it's a good idea to actually know them and the laws pertaining to them

The pigs hate you too. You just can't stop being racist I guess. The cops don't love you illegal drug user, they hate you, with a passion. I have never been asked to get of the car as a white passenger and I probably would refuse too. Go out and fight real crime, thats what I pay you to do.
"This was a racist attack"
Race had nothing to do with it.
"You just can't stop being racist I guess"
You're the only one spewing racism in this thread.
"I have never been asked to get of the car as a white passenger"
And the limited experiences of one person means what? Not much.
Make that two people

I've been asked to get out of a vehicle numerous times as both a driver and a passenger, I've also had passengers asked to get out even when I drove a taxi so these claims of racism based on anecdotal evidence again dont hold water
and turning this into a race thread is the fastest way to a lock

The man was asking to speak to a supervisor, because he felt threatened, as they already drew their weapons on him. He was likely just looking for some ID, but whatever.
And if the issue of racism can't be discussed, then why don't you go ahead and lock the thread.

Why don't you exit the thread if you can't stay on topic, this has nothing to do with race, it's about a lawsuit against the police.

Yes, one time during a traffic stop I did not have my ID, I was ticketed for not having it and had to produce my ID when I paid the citation.
It was a long time ago, but it went down something like that.

likely he was juat looking for an ID but once again, we have 10 minutes of video that are missing, so we dont know his behavior or the specific actions that led tot he cops drawing their guns, in fact that part was conveniently cut either by the media or the attorney that released to footage. now why would they do that and cut in right when the woman is talking about guns being pulled... oh yeah, to make it look like something it isnt... so basically, when you go rummaging through a bag to dig something out while refusing to exit the car, you can expect to have a gun pulled on you
anyway, he can have all the time he wants to ask for a supervisor until hie makes bond. the side of the road isnt the place to argue this shit

I could also ban those folks that decide that race bating is the way to steer this thread. maybe you should read the rules. it contains one that says "absolutely no racism"

You're assuming he was asked to get of the car prior to them drawing their firearm, because as you said, that's missing isn't it.
And once again I was responding to qman' post, if that's ME steering or derailing the post, we're on different pages.
I'm done with this regardless, so whatever!
