Like all Ps. cubensis strains, you do not need a cold shock to make the mycelium fruit.

hey guys

sorry that i dig out this old ass post but i wanted to use the search b4 i start a new post.

i have had my burmas in the fruiting chamber now for 4 days,
and all i was experiencing was overlay growth.

now i took them out, wrapped them up in foil and put the into the
fridge where they will stay for about 15 hours.
did i completely ruin everything doing that or was that some wise decision?
regards ohm

I would take them out of the freezer right away! Frozen water expands damaging vital mycilium tissue!

I would also wait a little longer than 4 days, and if you want to cold shock to induce pinning use the fridge not the freezer.

i am sorry i am using the fridge not the freezer.
and why i did it was that that my casing layer was heavily colonising
but not pinning ...
so hopefully i can get it to produce fruits.
