IME and IMO clear syringes suck very much. I?ve had problems too with clear syringes; those that you look through a light and can?t see nothing but water. That?s why I order spore prints (when I order). I prefer the homemade purple syringes.

i have never made my own, but i've recieved non-viable syringes from certain vendors before. i've since switched vendors. i've heard only good things about ralphster so i'm hoping the ones i'm soon getting from him will be good.

it sucks when you go through the trouble of making and inoculating a dozen or so quarts of birdseed, then wait for a week, then no growth. then get replacement syringes, only to have only about 1/4 jars actually grow. shitty spores from the sporeworks... i won't be buying from them again.

yeah.... making your own is probably the way to go. i need to build me a flowhood.

What are you guys in need of the flowhood/glovebox for. Is that necessary for making syringes or something?

you could probably do it without one, but it helps.

With a plastic bin. I made 2 holes in one of the wide sides big enough to get the hands in. Then I covered the holes inside and outside with a squared plastic sheet 0,5 cm thick and wide enough to cover the holes. Then, after glueing then taping the plastic sheets to the bin I cut them this way + outside and this x inside with a cutter. The plastic sheets remain closed when not using the box and for extra protection a big plastic bag covers the bin. In fact it?s a semi glove box that works very well for me. I hope you did understand something.

Yes, like a clean box.
No flow, I clean everything very well then spray inside the box with 96? alcohol. Didn?t have any contams in my syringes yet.
