ITS Pinning!!!!
    #2067704 - 11/03/03 12:35 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

here is a pic of my PES Hawaiian on WBS cased with coir/verm. put in fruiting chamber a week and a half ago.

I think my temps may be too high for fruiting, are they?

I have tried alternating frozen gallon jugs but that seems to only work when i remember to switch and refreeze them. I have moved my terrarium on to my patio as it is cooler out there than in the rest of my house. But temps havent really lowered any more than in the pic...

does anyone know of a way to lower temps that doesnt require constant attention?

your temps should be a good 10 degrees cooler. do you have a basement? if you can't provide a cool enough environment for them, cold shocking in the fridge might be in order.

yeah its on 70 but it still doesnt lower the temps in the container enough.

How long should i expect to cold shock this casing...

I havent had to cold shock before, but this is also my first time working with this strain.

And what are the effects of a rise in temperature going to do after the coldshocking is over. Cuz unless we have some crazy coldfront it will be back to 80* once its back in the chamber.

I was thinking that maybe poor airflow was causing high temps. but my air pump pumps out 1600 cc/m Thats just under 1 airflow per hour with the dimensions of my chamber. I am gonna add a timed mister to it to see if that lends a hand in lowering temps a lil.

You'll be fine with that temperature.

The mycelium looks like its about to pin right now anyways. I wouldnt cold shock it again. Dont mess with it, it looks perfect.
