Reseting time limits on demos?
    #2067020 - 11/03/03 03:52 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

i have a very simple program that i use a lot, but it has a limit on how many times you can use it. I tried deleting it and reinstalling, but it has the same amount of times left as when i deleted it. i also tried regedit, searching for things with the same name as the program, deleting them, and then reinstalling. Still no luck. Anyone out there know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

I think that you can make it last forever if you make the year of your time for ex. 2009 but this may be annoying
A better option may be to uninstall, delete every registry keys of the prog, and before installing change the time to 2009, install, and then turn it back to 2003
Search for a serial or crack, www.asta-killer.com
or you can try cracking it with win32dsm, windows 32 bit program dissasembler  I have never cracked anything yet though.

www.sysinternals.com has tools to watch changes to the registry or filesystem, in theory you should be able to catch whatever marking they do there.

I have seen .ini files get left in the windows or winnt driectory after an application is removed. Not everything gets stored in the registry.

I tried the disassembler, the registry watcher, and searching my computer for .ini files. I am not very computer literate, when i was using the reg watcher i saw a cycle of about 6 things repeat every so often but i had no clue what they meant when i looked at them in the registry. Thanks alot everyone for trying to help. you probably helped more than i have the computer knowledge to realize. thanks again, but if anyone decides to download the program itself and try thier luck figuring out what is going on, i will be more than willing to listen
