hey guys, when i dunk my cakes is it required to mix water with h202? and if so, what ratio? thx

its not required, but reccomended to ward off contams. The ration is 10 parts water 1 part h202

i think you want to mix it at like a 15/1 ratio(water/h202) i say 15/1 because 10/1 is the ratio i use to spray for sterlization and you don't want too much h202 or it will hinder growth or so i have read.I would wait for more......exp. opinoins though.So to answer your question no it is not req. but it seems like somthing very easy you can do to make your chances all that much better.

i use a 25/1 ratio for dunking,but anywhere from 10 to 25/1.

hmm, i dunked last time in straight water, no additives, filtered water, and i got 0 contams on anything, and i did 5 cakes and a casing, the casing became overlay, so i choped it up and recased, and now it is growing better than ever, so should i or should i not mix with the h2o2
