How far can the human body really go?

Many of you are aware of chakra and how it works, especially those who meditate on a regular basis. Learning to control your chakra is learning how to control your bodies energy. For example if you concentrate energy into your hand after a few minutes it should start feeling warm and eventually you will feel energy really building up inside and around your hand. For personal meditation I build up energy in my 7 chakra points and it works great for balancing my body.
Lately I have been doing research on Chakra channeling and ran into a site that had some rather interesting techniques. These techniques involve using alot of energy and although I believe it may be possible I am not 100% sure if they are real. Here is the Site. Although it seems like alot of the technique's are like what you would see in a Japanese Anime, I do believe some of the techniques found in the begginer section are probably possible. I have heard of monks that could sit in the freezing cold and melt snow that was around them using there energy. What is your opinion on this matter? Is any of this stuff actually worth practicing?

Why bother controling your surroundings when u could transform the only thing worth transforming...the Self... isn't unattached, unconditional, uninterrupted Bliss enuff ? isn't it enuff to sit content ?

^^ btw, no offense meant, just my thoughts on internal transformation, as opposed to seeking external power...

Well, I certainly wouldn't mind unleashing these superpowers I have been unleashing in my dreams (where I basically turn into Superman) into real life. Sorcerer is a title I wish to pursue, but alas, I have no teacher... Peace.

I have no desire to control my external surroundings or to have super powers...strange... I just wish to be at peace and to sit content. I wonder if it'll ever happen... Maybe it's asking too much..

Right now you can do that internally. On the other hand, you probably couldnt in real life, and if you ever did, it would prove nothing more than your power over other people, and we know where that leads=]

hi blammo the techniques on the website are basically ok, i did similar things when i studied qi gong. i don't think you'll go pop! the problems with chakra meditation come from focusing directly on an individual chakra (any of them). exercises that involving moving energy around can prove to be useful, don't expect to bend spoons tho.

My purpose for learning these would be for inner transformation. When you improve your ability to control your own energies it not only helps your physical body but also your spiritual mind. Building Ki balls would help you control your chakra at points and help with overall circulation. You are right though, some people are learning the techniques to try and effect there surrounding in a negative manner.

Heres something that may interest you. Its an experience a friend of mine had. Heres how he explained it.
~~~ "Lionwarrior: anyways.....I got that feeling, a sort of humming almost, and the damn chair fell over....I can't even being to explane how, but I understand it intuitivly......and then the chair I was sitting in almost fell over because I jumped ten feet in the air screaming 'oh my god I can't belive I just did that'.....and I almost immedeatly came out of it....you know, like when you wake yourself up in a lucid dream, because you become to lucid, you realize your sleeping and you wake yourself up.....only it was kinda the opposite effect....I went back to sleep so to speak, if you know what I mean.....after that I totally crashed.....I even began thinking the peyote had mad me crazy.....that I had lost my mind......but I had to pick that chair back up again.....I was in total confusion, because everything I had known up to that became obsolete in the face of this knowledge......and I fell it to complete confusion.....untill now I didn't know what to do
Lionwarrior: Slate....you can do it on shrooms too......tripping is entirely a magical experience......an entirely mystical experience.....that is the whole structure of our universe, the mystical.....and our reason will never understand it, only very small aspects.....if you are a reasonable creature, you can never be magical.....if you can see the mystical, you can relize the dream, tripping is an instant gateway into that mystical, magical dream.....it is an instant gateway to your power as a mystical magical creature....it is one gateway to lucidity withing reality......the trick is sustaining it when you are sober.....to not "wake" from that lucidity....if you know what I mean.
Lionwarrior: Slate....one of the magical experiences I had was on this mountain.....when I am tripping in the woods I often go rock hopping......the thing that started me off on all this was how astounded I was with the things my body could do......this one time I was rock hopping, and I wasn't listening to the magic around me at all.....because of this I made a false step, and broke my ankle.....at least I was pretty shure I had broken my ankle......I felt it snap.....well I cried of course, not because of the pain, but because the instant it happened I instanlty saw how stupid I had been this whole time.....I was so angry I couldn't help but cry.......not to mention some of the things I was relizing where so powerful that they brought more tears......I felt I had be taken into the loving hands of the mother......it was getting dark, and I couldn't hike of the mountain in the dark with a gimp ankle, so I had to camp......the mother led me to a small clearing not far from where it happened, and in the middle of the clearing there was a dead bush.......the bush was pretty small, but something told me to take it out of the ground......when I did I found that the roots where dense and thick.....those roots kept me warm all night long......not only that but I got some magical durt that covered them......to make a really long story short, I made enough relizations that night to heal the break in my ankle, the spot that this happened became a power spot for me.......and every time I return to it I have amazingly magical experiences
Lionwarrior: Slate......first of all I find it is best to trip by yourself......unless you are with others that understand magic.....if not they will only hold you back.......and what I described was a explosion of awareness....for that is what tripping is all about......it can also be the exact opposite if you are not carefull, or if you fight the magic.......it is hard to explane how I healed my ankle.....it is all about body awareness.....that is why I like rock hopping because it takes a certain sort of bodily awareness........all I can say is that I felt my ankle.....it was kind of like a flexing of the mucles in my foot.....of finding the damaged places and 'flexing' them....I think what I was realy doing was sending large amounts of energy to my foot......at some point I seem to 'flex' so much that I got a cramp in my calf....the cramp kind of moved up my calf, and dissapeared at my knee.....when I look back I think that was the break.......there are many more details to that night too, but I can not find the words to explain them........that is the problem with tripping, it is an induced awareness that soon wears off, leaving us with a vague memory of the knowledge we fully integrated during the trip........the true journey.....the true challenge, is grasping, and sustaining that reality....that knowledge......on your own.....but tripping can help us by giving us a quick glimps.....so we don't get entirely lost
Lionwarrior: Slate.....the key is in your heart, in the power you know lies in there......don't let anyone tell you different....that is what I learned tonight.....listen to the earth.......listen to the mystical.....quiet your reason.....and let the knowledge flow into you.....as a race we are begining to become concious.....also relize the power of the lucid dreams.....this world is just starting to open for me......and it is for you too.....I am just sorry that more of us can't see it.......so many of us are blind to it......but don't let those people hold you back......instead seek the ones who see....and when you have enough knowledge yourself try to share it with the ones who don't, eventhough most of them won't listen.........we are in this journey together:-) " ~~~
This may also be of some interest to you.
The soul can influence the physical body to a high degree. I believe that it can even heal a broken ankle in seconds given enough influence and shear amounts of energy.
I had my first reiki treatment last night, while on a small dose of some psychedelics, and with my eyes closed i could see the energy around me and afterwards I felt so clear. It was intense for something I'm normally skeptical about.
