Okay growers, give me some hints.

Alright, so i've decided to just buy these sterilised rye bags and colonize them with whatever, probably B+ if that matters.
Can i use it to mix up with verm/coir to make my own cakes to put in sgfc?
I know you guys like to do everything from bottom, but i've decided to skip those first steps.
I'd be using these guides for sgfc http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20195542#20195542
And how to do the coir mix http://www.shroomery.org/10858/How-to-do-Coir
Can i just use the coir mix above when i have my fully colonized rye bags, mix it up as the guide says, and put it in small plastic containers with their normal lids or just foil, wait till prober colonized again, take the cakes and put into sgfc on a piece on foil?
Or could i simply colonize the rye bags and mix with just vermiculite, or simply vermiculite on top of spawn, into boxes to make the cakes? I guess what i am asking is what is the easiest way/mix to make colonized rye, into cakes, into sgfc.
I am not completely mistaken am i!?

You can definitely make cake-like things with bulk, though whenever I've done it I've made them a little larger than usual half pint cakes. I make blocks of different shapes about 1.5-2.5 pints each and they do well in a GH. If you're going to skip the cakes and go to bulk and use a tub like that I'd just make a monotub. SGFCs are more for PF cakes really and maybe a tray or so, but it would probably work too I've never tried them in a SG.

And bulk being the verm/coir/spawn mix? I can buy boxes in whatever shapes and sizes is best, fill in the mix, let it colonize, throw into sgfc?

Yeah exactly, but when I did it I put them in my GH not a SG. The SG would be ok probably as long as not too much of the perlite is covered up. Just line the container in plastic, dump the spawn/coir/verm in, fold the extra plastic over the top loose and let it colonize to about 90%, then peel the plastic off and let it fruit.

Line it inside i am guessing? So that the mix is ON the plastic, and then just whatever is left of the plastic loose over top? If so, why not just put the coir/verm/spawn straight into the plastic box, and just put the box in a plastic bag like he does in the link? (step 13) http://www.shroomery.org/10858/How-to-do-Coir Then colonize at room temp like usual and when done, out of box and into my sgfc?
And what do you mean by the SG being ok as long as not too much of the perlite is covered up?
Aand last, GH?

Very newbie here, sorry
Let me make it more clear..
Can i make a mix like so: http://www.shroomery.org/10858/How-to-do-Coir
Throw the mix into small plastic containers that's say.. 7cm high and 15 cm wide, put a plastic bag loose over the box, let it colonize 100%, take them out, dunk and roll, place them in sgfc on a piece of tinfoil, and wait, mist/fan etc..
Or should i just simply let the rye colonize, break up, put into container and simply dry/moist verm layer ontop, wait for it to colonize through again, take cakes out, dunk and roll, and into sgfc..? :p

bump for what? you're confused about pf-tek vs spawning grains to bulk. mix colonized grains with coir+verm from your link in your plastic box/tray, cover it with alufoil or plastic wrap with tiny poked holes, let colonize to 100% then place the whole thing in SGFC.

Yeah you can do all of those things and it will work. I don't think you need to dunk and roll stuff that you make from bulk, but you can dunk after the first flush if it needs it. When you just dump grain out into a container and put some verm on top that's called 'cased grains' and it works too but you don't get as much from it that way.
Like I said though if you're going to make a ton either use a monotub, or a little GH (greenhouse). The SGFC and cakes are more work than necessary imo if you're doing coir\verm\spawn.

Alright, going out next week to buy everything i need.. Gonna need to build both sgfc and monotub i think!
The ''cased grains'' should be dunked and rolled though, right?
Thanks alot people, i'll hopefully throw some pictures up in a week or so

Meh i'll have to read up some more on monotubs, what happens when the flush is done, and you've harvested? No dunk and roll like cakes, just let it fruit again or wut?

only pf-tek cakes are dunked and rolled, cased grains are treated like bulk subs. just mist as needed, no d'n'r. cased grains gives consistently worse results than spawning to bulk.
you want to fruit trays and tubs from the top, not 360 degrees. just water the sub if needed after a flush.

alright. Well it is because i ordered two kits from an online shop, and wanted to make the best of the materials that came with it. (regarding the cased grains.)
If i can get the things i need before those bags of rye gets 100% colonized i'll make the coir/verm mix and throw it in thar, into boxes, colonize again, and into sgfc ?
