Did anyone compare fruiting spawned coir, versus fruiting cased spawn alone? How much does the coir contribute to a higher yield?

i've only cased up straight grain spawn once or twice for the heck of it, for the experience, and was far far from impressed. i personally at least have no doubt the coir makes a major difference.
even if we went on the old assumption that coir "has no nutes" it still holds a great deal of moisture, and would give you a rez-effect. its moisture contribution alone is huge... and considering mushrooms are mostly water, its not exactly a leap to understand how that's majorly beneficial
of course, if somebody is feeling industrious, its easy enough to answer definitively with some BE calculations taken from an isolate/clone grown in either fashion... i've been slacking there on my record keeping of late... but hey, that's because i've been so pleased with my results using coir that i've relaxed and stopped worrying about a lot of the little details, it comes out good, period.

Belief is good, proof is better though. I would like to see some hard numbers.

coir is definately better than fruiting straight cased grain...
1 quart spawned to coir, can produce as much as 3 just spawned.
I know that for a fact. This is based upon dry weight. And has been tested many times

probably a good idea . better nitrogen sources to supplement the coir?
and how much coffee per coir would you suggest though ? maybe 50% coffee/50% water with tablesspoon gypsum in there to hydrate coir?
