Experimental Terrarium with Subaeruginosa

First thing - I know it won't work. So there's no need to tell me, OK? Mycelium cakes are standard half pint (240ml) BRFV jars, inoculated with P. Subaeruginosa spores, fully colonized after 8 weeks. Dunked and refrigerated for 14 hours, rinsed and rolled in fresh vermiculite. I added a single small chip of redgum on the top of one. Apparently P. Subs. only fruit in reaction to naturally occurring microbe activity, so hopefully I can monitor this single piece and kill any contaminants, while nature is artificially stimulated to do its thing. The terrarium is a three piece microwave steamer. The lower section has a lot of holes in the base, with a ring of perlite around the edge, to catch any condensation that drips down the sides. A bowl with numerous holes underneath sits inside that. It is full of wet perlite and also ice cubes. P. Subs. are a cold weather species, fruiting in autumn and winter in Australia. I'll add new ice every few hours, and mist with iced water. Hopefully that will create a cold, damp microclimate in the upper chamber, where the mycelium sits on a plastic floor with enough holes to fill the Albert Hall. The sides and the lid of the mycelium chamber also have holes, to allow for plenty of fresh air exchange from every direction. I know it won't work, but I wanted something that looks space age and scientifical, perhaps off the space station in Silent Running, or 2001, if you've seen those movies.
Here's the pics.

I've put the removable tub of perlite to chill in the freezer. That should keep things cool through the day. It's 11 C here overnight, which is still a few degrees above the optimal. 20 C during the day, which is too warm for fruiting.
