Hi

Anyone know how much water evaporates during pressure cooking? I just wonder if I need to refill it.

Measure the water level before and after your first run....it's going to be a little different for everyone, but there should not be that much of a loss....you may need to add water every other run, or I do anyway.

Okey, I started with about 1" of water, would that be sufficient for one run?

we have no way of knowing, read the user manual or else add more than you think until you get a feel for it

Likely not especially if you're not used to your pc. Better to put too much than not enough

If you don't overdo it which you might on your first time you'll start with an inch and end up with nearly an inch. IF you have your PC set just right where it's keeping pressure but not building pressure your water loss will be very minimal. an inch of water in my PC would easily last 4 runs. but I wouldn't push my luck.

Update: I lost almost no water, maybe 1/4 evaporated. I have just inoculated 6 glasses, hopefully they will turn out pinny.
