My agar clearly has some sort of bacterial growth but I am seeing a white dot also and the bacterial growth kinda going around it instead of right over it. Does bacterial growth grow around myc?

can't really take one unless I unscrew the cover. It's a 1/4 pint I'm using. Picture a blob that stops at the white spot that developed and is moving around the sides of it. Won't continue straight on its path.

yes, bacteria will grow around the mycelium. they are both holding their own so to speak
if it looks like this, do not attempt a transfer

if it looks like this, get er done!!

if u have only one plate that u really wanna save, u can look into the sandwich agar tek, where u pour warm agar on top of the plate, temporarily pasteurizing/stalling the contaminate, while the mycelium recovers and jets upward, thru the new medium

similar yes but the myc is very very small. Like a pin size. I'll monitor that. That bacterial infection is what I have. What is that stuff? It looks really nasty. I don't even wanna touch it when dumping down the drain.

Your body is full of bacteria as well. You wouldn't be able to survive without it.
