Please help, ASAP! Dark green cores in aborts
    #2060919 - 10/31/03 04:42 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Hi, I'm alittle bit destressed. I'm about 1 or 2 days away from harvesting my first batch of shrooms, I'm growing Tapalpa on brownrice, cased in vermiculite, and I decided today to cut away some of the aborts b4 they started to rot, but when I did so I noticed that the centres of the shrooms were filled with a dark greenish substance, (I removed 3, all of which had this problem) there was no odor to it, atleast that I could detect. The caps hadn't gone black yet (it was a dark dark brown) so i'm assuming it wasn't cause it was rotten. The rest of the shrooms seem to be growing beautifully, I have a few close to about 6 inchs already actually. Is this normal or do I have to throw the whole thing out? Please have good news for me, thanks!

It's possible the aborts began rotting from the center. . .

As long as the other mature fruits are fine, you are fine.
