1 syringe can do more than 12 1/2 pints.

Is there any conclusive info as far as colonization time in correlation to the amount of spore solution used? I used around 1.5cc per jar and mine took about 3 weeks to colonize, then one more for consolidation/full colonization.
Just wondering if using more/less would directly result in slightly faster/slower colonization times. Or if the difference would be noticeable at best. I'm sure it's been debated before...

less would be better, provided you mixed the jar correctly;
adding more spore solution means adding more water; that can throw off colonization times.
a tiny little drop will do (there's a metric fuck ton of spores in spore-syringes)

Using more solution can give a bit faster colonisation but it will also give more varied genetics and throw off your moisture content if you use too much. Since half the colonisation time when starting from spores is spent waiting for them to germinate the time gained by using more solution is fairly slim. .5 to 1 cc per jar is all you need. Better yet start using agar and grains and 1 drop can inoculate 1000s of jars.

I just started with agar right before I moved and now that I've actually done some agar work with a syringe, I can see how far it goes.. Literally, 1000's of jars with one drop. If u have the time and have a few extra dollars for a SAB and some agar, I def recommend getting into agar.. More specifically this one here if u haven't worked with agar before.

alright well thx guys(sorry if I'm sidebarring the OPs thread), I was planning on splitting 2 syringes between a case of jars but now I'm thinking I'll grab another case of the wide mouths online and do 24, and do half of each sub-strain, and half of that do cakes spawned to CVG as I have acquired these materials as of late
I already successfully did 3 casings using verm and 50/50 I figure the next step is coir and using a different substrate but until then I'm gonna try and see if organic brf and verm is better(subjective I know) than non organic as I've recently acquired all organic supplies as well.
We all have our projects were excited about
