Seriously, muda? I mean that was an honest question, wasnt being a smartass. Do they really not make it anymore? So, what is the new standard for SAB air disinfecting? I mean, lysol is advertised to clean surfaces, while oust was for air, right? Thats why oust was so reccommended for SAB work, correct? Since I couldnt find oust I have been using alcohol in a sprayer or bleach in a sprayer. What is everyone else using? Just soap and water?

Soapy water is all you need. You are just trying to trap contaminants not kill them. It's a still air box not a sterile air box. They really did stop making oust.

Well, okay then. Water or water and soap it is. Thanks guys.
And I agree, those bleach fumes were killer

what does other than heat and radiation? what about bacteria endospores? I was under the impression that bleach is more effective in disinfecting than alcohol does that only apply to living organisms so spores would not be affected?

I thought bleach was for killing bacteria and soapy water was for trapping mold spores. Figured my mixture would be a nice all in one SAB treatment.

Vinegar and H2O2 sprayed separately is CLAIMED to be a very good surface disinfectant. Anyone knows for sure?

I think what is done in a SAB only needs iso and soap and water. Iso for hands and gloves and jars and... soapy water for spraying inside to catch mold spores and trap them on the walls(best) and other surfaces rather than the air. bleach is optional and i am trying to determine if i should just leave it out. I like the sound of killing bacteria so a little extra effort(of a bleach wipedown) could help a lot.

It needs to be apple cider vinegar, the regular white vinegar is crap for disinfecting. The Apple has a way higher P.H.
Fermenting lemon grinds/oranges in water will create a very powerful disinfectant from the natural acids that raise the P.H of the water
I feel like I just lost part of my masculinity....

No masculinity lost, my friend. This is useful info....plus you used the word 'fermenting'. Thats, a good, manly word imo.
