Psilocybin Cubensis GT horse shat log (with pics)

Hey all! I'm back! If y'all don't remember me, please read my last post "skydiving on acid" from 6/21/13 !
Anyways, I've really developed an interest in growing mushrooms and I threw together a cake using a modified pf tek & P. cubensis GT spores from a local source. Jumping ahead a little. I was very clean and the rice cake seemed to have remained sterile, in the jar, during mycelium development. Once the cake finished, I shelled it in the middle of pasteurized & dried horse shit. My box is just a standard plastic storage tub lined with perlite with 1 hole near the bottom for CO2 & excess water drainage. I've been rotating 12/12 light cycles, keeping the temp between 78-84 degrees, and rh 95-99% at all times except air exchange once per morning. The mycelium fully colonized the dung, and now I'm seeing a thick white thread-like fungi protrusions from the dung. This is my first grow. I'm not exactly sure what it is. Maybe some mushrooms in the pre-pinning stage? rhizomes? Should I change any environmental conditions at this point? How much longer until would I expect to see caps? Ahhhhh this is all so exciting!!!

Holy jesus that poor colony is choking to death! Get that thing some air. Can't really see whats happening with those pics. Looks like you need foil under it so it won't colonize the perlite and without holes on all six sides of the chamber the perlite will not raise RH. Air needs to pass up through the perlite in order for it to humidify anything.
Take whatever your fruiting in and make a proper SGFC

Wrong, its looking for fresh air. The RH and CO2 are so high the myc is trying to colonize the air.

Man the second you posted that I sprinted across the room and popped the top off the container. Hard to believe that moisture & CO2 are the issue, since the container is not airtight. It's a pretty jenky setup, I'm on a budget. Here it is. That clock has a built in thermeter and humidity reader.

Is this still salvageable?

Dude, check the links I posted. Get the drill out and make that tub a proper SGFC, or buy a new one and make a proper SGFC. That hygrometer is useless, put it on the wall. . . and build a proper SGFC. Mushrooms need to breath and will consume a surprising amount of O2 relative to the colonies size.

Alright, at least I just stuck it in there two days ago... the myc threads had only appeared last night hopefully not much damage has been done. Thanks for the links! I'd only been going off of what I've been told and the very few pages I've read. The clock is back on the wall.

Do you think there is still potential in this colony? If not so much, I'm going to go ahead and start my second batch. I saved one more cake in the fridge in case I screwed this one up like I already have, haha.

Yes there is lots of potential. Fix the conditions and I bet it explodes.
