cobweb or lack of GE?
    #20592843 - 09/20/14 01:35 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

looks off, like a lack of GE while colonizing, or cobweb

I have a pf cake that looks something like that on the bottomside. I thought it is cobweb but from the post above I'm not sure now.
How do you KNOW when cobweb strikes exactly?
I have never dealt with it. Is it dangerous? Can it kill your fruits?

Sorry for thread pirating lol :piratebattle:

It grows astoundingly fast and resembles the hair from those troll dolls if you know what those are.

I think its lack of GE, I had 2 layers of saran over it and only a few tiny holes in the plastic..

like you said you seen similar looking mycelium on the bottom of your cake, ive seen them on mine too probably because theyre on foil or a surface and it cant breath on the bottom laying against it

only let it have 5 days to colonize though, got back from work today and took off the saran... it wasn't lookin good with all the water buildup and whatnot
