Frosted Flakes

Lately someone's been getting a few prints that are dark as hell yes, but matted and when scraped, very dry, brittle, and flakey. (lookin like pepper)
Even when dropped in water remain flakey. Someone remembered a thread and hooked up a flake made syringe to a sawzall and let it have it. Well -- it did seem to tint the water slightly - something thats never happened with the flake prints, and someone will have to try for results with that - but most of the flakes remained.
Question is tho -- are prints in this condition usually considered nonviable? Undesireable?
After 2 weeks in karo -- finally starting to see a little myc from a flake print. What causes this? Print is too dark? Too old? Dry?

just means it's a nice heavy print,i love them like that. i make my syringes in a glove box and if the spores are flaky i just keep sucking the water up and squirt it back out as hard as possible until the flakes break up.

these DONT break up. Good to hear that it's not unwanted, but-- these may be old or something because -- even after mad mad mad squirting, and - after a sawzall, even after weeks of hydration, theres still -- well -- flakes. seems almost like they were under pressure.?
Anyone else have this before .. and have a remedy? Seems like a waste of spores injecting big ass pepper flakes into a jar of anything - and if not viable -- a waste of a jar.

There are lots of spores floating around in your syringe, they're jsut microscopic.

Sounds much like brick weed. Brick Spores! An overabundance of spores(not bad), wet, wet conditions, and lot's of pressure. I don't know here you got the print, but I'd guess they put a book or something on top for a while. But all of this is just a hypothesis.
