When I made some....it started out looking just like some of the honey that settles at the bottom, except it settles at the top. Then a few days later, its gets bigger, and when you tilted the jar the right way, the top of it looks real white, mycellium, and you could easily tell what it was.....I never used it though, just experimenting..
