Should I Harvest
    #20577962 - 09/17/14 12:44 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

My friend gave me a few spawn bags and one of the bags is already fruiting. It has 5 shrooms at a good size which the veil has just broken but still has smaller mushrooms that are just starting to grow. I'm just paranoid that if i harvest those few shrooms the cake will become contaminated and destroy the others. I appreciate any help on this. This is my first grow btw

Thanks for the fast response. I'm to harvest them later today. Should i leave the cake in the bag and seal it up with a zip tie after harvesting?

this is my opinion..as i never did bags.... id cut it open at substrate level and put the thing in a tub with wet perlite in it.. then fan 2-5 times a day for a few mins  maybe even  cut a couple holes in the tub with plyfill or tyvek just to aid a bit in fae.. sorta like a big cake  in a mono.. well mono/sgfc hybrid  it would be

If op insists on fruiting in the bag he should at the least cut a few slits in it and give them mushies air.
