If you put undiluted iso on a cake it will obviously harm it, I'm talking about a heavily diluted iso/water mix. again, never had any problems with spraying or dunking so don't understand why its a bad idea?

cronicr said: iso does harm mycelium, maybe not watered down like dumping it in your dunk water but it's pointless, it's gonna be covered in mold spores again anyway
can you show me a study that supports your claim? The only study I've seen concerning myc and iso suggest that it isn't harmful.
like i said in the last part of my statement, "not watered down like putting it in dunk water" what good does it do watered down....nuthing it works great at 70% or even at like 50% but you dont' need to worry about this kinda stuff at the fruiting stage, lots of fresh air and a colonized cake are your best weapon of choice against molds

it's really just a waiste of good booze bacteria is about the only thing i've seen grow durign the dunk and that is no threat to a colonized cake and rinses off easily enough after the dunk, i think that damage is just from being pushed down like stated earlier but approach with caution and get more pics
