min light requirments?

what is the minimum light per day required to induce pinning. i have a strange situation which makes it hard to suply light to my lil guys for long durations. thanks dirty

enough to see your hand, for a few minutes a day. in a nutshell, don't even worry about light until after they pin. then some is good for directional growth.

bobmarley4prez, a small flourescent light will do. If you can see the mushrooms then there is sufficient light.

Oh man, perfect you have the same situation as me. Cept I have a stealth box so I didn't want an extention cord leading into the box so what I did is this:
Goto RadioShack and pick up a booklight. Take it a part a bit so the hood is movable and the ballast is remote. The super-glue the ballast to the side and the bulb/hood on the lid of your terrarium. Adjust it best for your situation. Just remember, super glue doesn't work on most plastic so you have to shred the light's plastic to a rough edge and sand the terrarium too. Then it'll stick.
