Just a few questions
    #2057128 - 10/30/03 02:52 PM (14 years, 2 months ago)

I just have a few questions I haven't found anwsers to.

1. Can spore syringes be frozen for storage?
2. Im trying to find a list of different strains, with a rating of whats easiest to hardest to grow, growth habbits of each, and a time frame of habbits (like a spreadsheet). Anyone know where I can find something like that?

Ive read alot about cultivation, for a while. I always wanted to do it and finally I am.

Thanks if anyone could help

1. i wouldn't
2. easiest - any cubensis; harder - other species. as for strains, forget it. there's too much variability depending on your own growing environment. one very difficult strain is psilocybe cubensis impossabilis knottae, but this is fortunately a rare substrain of ps. cub (thatwasstronggoodnessmewhatamidoing strain).

oh dear. i'd better stop. i am a bit  :nut:

1.- Spores and mycellium should be able to stand freezing temps cause that happens in nature, it freezes sometimes. What I don?t know is how long can spores and or mycellium stand those freezing temps before dying. Speaking about long term storage, I believe liquid nitrogen is the only way.
2.- http://www.mushmush.nl/ then go to species, then psylocibe cubensis and click in every name.
