Either gonna have a bowl of mold or mushrooms
If mold does grow would it be poisonous to eat mushrooms that grow from the sub? Whether it grew off the mold or not

Can anyone help me with how long i should be letting it colonize? will it not fruit till its ready?
I mixed with the substrate on saturday i believe and the tek said 10 days, but i reduced his ratio so it might be longer
BUT its also only 1.25 quarts total substrate so idk i think itll colonize fast, i crumbled and mixed the cake well.
Im just curious on how long it usually takes your guys' tubs to colonize

If you reduced his ratio it should be faster... And it probably will.
Fruit it when you think its ready, it should be pretty easy to tell

increased the ratio as in 1 to 4 parts i used 1 half pint in a quart of sub and sounds good i checked today and its showing mycelium on the top, does that mean the bottom is colonized?

would it be bad to release the CO2?

bout 1/3 colonized is my guess - mixed it around a little (by moving the bowl not with my hands) and covered some mycelium with the choir so itll colonize faster
