Very cool, I like the autumn colors. Set it as my background.

Wow, what kind of software, time, knowledge, does it take to make these things? I've always thought good fractals were very beautiful. Do you use ultrafractal? All the best ones that I've seen seem to use this program.

It's all just photoshop.. I used Kai's Power Tools 5's "Fraxplorer" (or something like that) feature to produce the various fractals that are mostly just layered and colored certain ways.

that 2nd one is fantastic

I love the curly leaf-looking things

And in the first one, I dig the "texture" - it looks like its on a piece of paper with creases all over it

Yeah, I really like the first one.. it feels very "finished".. the second one looks more like a windows wallpaper or something, heh.

Edit:
"And in the first one, I dig the "texture" - it looks like its on a piece of paper with creases all over it"

--I actually think it looks a lot like a map.. if you look closely there are circular patterns akin to magnetic field diagrams layered over it, and the fractal that creates the lighter area has river-like paths carved into it, heh.

Jacques, where can I get that filter or plug-in for Photoshop? At my school I know we have the Fraxplorer thing in Corel Painter but I'd love to have it here at home on Photoshop, if you can, please reply here or in a pm. Thanks!

It's part of a package called Kai's Power Tools 5.. there's a couple different fractal-related things in it.

Real nice looking stuff! ..You have an artists eye. I've just started using kai's power tools myself..its a great accessory to Photoshop!
To phEIGHT...If you have no problem with software piracy, the program is freely available at Kazaa..sort of like napster, except it carries just about everything. (software, videos, etc.)
It has spyware in it..but I just use it for what I want, then uninstall it.
Go here to download the file sharing program...

Thanks Zorch, I really liked that mushroom cloud piece you did, too.

The sad thing about this piece here is, I really want it in high res, but it was one of the first pieces I made with Ultra Fractal, and I didn't really know what I was doing with it, so I couldn't get it to produce a high res version.. sigh, this thing's like 1x2 inches at 300 dpi. =(
