hatching endospores

do it. then kill them. especially in winter... freezing of stored grains and straw outdoors during winter = endospore formation.

no mycelium is quite different than bacteria. many species of bacteria form harderened endospores when exposed to adverse conditions like freezing or drying. these endospores can survive freezing and boiling temperatures, and can possibly even make it through a pressure cooker.

if you allow your substrates to soak for 24 hours in warm or room temperature water, the endospores will hatch and the bacteria will become vulnerable to sterilization.  :thumbup:
