I've grown plenty of creepers, they're just the same as any other cube B+ GT PR etc... you couldn't tell the difference if you grew all three and forgot to label them. you need to do some agar work and strain isolation if you want consistent potency every time. otherwise you'll just get average potency on average.

Well, you bought 'em from a nonsponsor so you get what you get - mostly advertising.

Sticky that somewhere.

Hey, you guys know some Psilocybe mushrooms actually don't contain psilosybe? lol Hey people, Has anyone here ever tied Lipa Yai? Just noticed a bunch of pins on my outside grow, I put JA's right next to a lipa yai cake, buried in poo. So I don't know which one it is, don't really care at all cuz yes, a cube is a cube for sure. However, I am almost ready to spawn to bulk my first PE. Any tips? I am new, been growin for a year. Also I am doin pan cyans right now. Have some outside in poo and doing spawn to bulk today with them and some pan tropicalis. OOOPS, there aren't actually STRAINS are they PS: doesn't anyone talk on here about strains??

Psilocybe isn't a thing either Perhaps you meant psilocin or psilocybin.

Well, yes of course. Quite sure everyone knew what I was getting at. Mushrooms that contain psilocybin or psilocin. The ones we really like.

Just fucking with you. Oh and a couple of tips for PE. Consolidate for a few days after your bulk sub is fully colonised, use a casing layer and be patient. They can take a while to pin.

Lol, its hard to tell over the internet, lol. I don't do agar yet. What do u mean consolidate after sub is colonized? I always use casing. Do they do ok in lower temps, say 74-77?

Consolidating is simply leaving it covered up for a few days to digest some more nutes before introducing it to fruiting. I don't consider 74 to 77 to be low temps really. I don't like to let my temps get much higher than that.

Ok cool. I always rush right into fruiting conditions once the sub. has colonized 100% I did a bunch of them outside this year and it got hot!! I figured they are tropical/sub tropical so they will like it. However, September is here and the temps will drop soon so I cant do outside grows. Lol, I finally got the nerve after a month or so and after I had enough colonized grain to throw some right in the ground with some leached horse poo. Wow what a difference than in the trays. That's said, I only have been doing this since the spring and 2x indoors in winter.

Uhm, yeah, B+ fairly often. Wiki: Quote:
Psilocybin is present in varying concentrations in over 200 species of Basidiomycota mushrooms. In a 2000 review on the worldwide distribution of psilocybin mushrooms, Gastón Guzmán and colleagues considered these to be distributed amongst the following genera: Psilocybe (116 species), Gymnopilus (14), Panaeolus (13), Copelandia (12), Hypholoma (6), Pluteus (6) Inocybe (6), Conocybe (4), Panaeolina (4), Gerronema (2), Agrocybe (1), Galerina (1) and Mycena (1).[14] Guzmán increased his estimate of the number of psilocybin-containing Psilocybe to 144 species in a 2005 review.
I'm just guessing but I'm gonna say no, there are no Psilocybe mushrooms that don't produce at least some psilocybin. There are quite a few that produce very little. Also, there's been shuffling around of various species to fit the nomenclature - Ps. cubensis was originally in the genus Stropharia...

Yeah, what I said
Quote:
Because the name is widely associated with the hallucinogenic species and considering the potential legal ramifications of changing their generic name, a proposal was made to conserve the name Psilocybe with P. semilanceata as the type. This left Deconica available as a name for the non-blueing species.[7] The proposal was unanimously accepted by the Nomenclature Committee for Fungi in 2009.[8]
Makes me feel better having liberty caps as the genus type.

Wait, I don't understand that. How do they make one mushroom a genus type and what EXACTLY is a genus type?

It's the prime example of the genus, I guess. The model. The founding father. The one species that's most like all the rest...
I'm sure somebody else will have a better answer.

Well, not exactly. But something like that...
Quote:
Type genus From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In biological classification, a type genus is a representative genus, with regard to a biological family.
