any trip recommendations?

OK, this time I really AM going to trip on Saturday. We have a house that we all feel comfortable in to trip in, next to a big park filled with trees and grass and such. 1/8oz cubensis per person, no herb as out of the three of us only one doesn't have random UAs. None of us are techno/trance fans, so we'll listen to the classic trip-tunes such as the Grateful Dead. We all have experience in other hallucinogenic drugs, but this will be my and a friend's first shroom, with one person there who has shroom experience.
CD playlist:
Live/Dead - Grateful Dead A Live One - Phish 2/28/69 - a Grateful Dead concert Live From The Fillmore East - Allman Brother's Band Greatest Hits - Burning Spear The Wall - Pink Floyd Anything else we dig up that we think would be good.
I've got a book of poetry I'm going to read, and we're probably going to watch Fear and Loathing to wait for the shrooms to take effect. Then, music and sitting around, and a walk in the park.
List of materials:
Cigarettes Water Orange Juice (for eating the shrooms) Snacks, like chips and shit Sunglasses, in case interaction with the world is necessary Positive mood Warm clothes in case weather goes bad.
Any suggestions on things to do, music, materials, or anything?

you've got everything you need man. you'll use like 10% of what you have listed. I think the best thing to do is go outside and look around, but that might not be too fun its freezing cold. I love looking at tall grass when i'm tripping... but i'm weird.

I suggest staying outside, grooving to all the noises of nature. It depends on the weather though. My most memerable trip was sitting in my car with a winter hat and mittens on. going outside everytime the loop came full circle. And the second best was sitting outside at my house in the dark by a burnt out campfire. Third best was sitting outside at a park looking at the sky, fourth at the same place looking at the stars. IMO shrooms were meant to be enjoyed outside.
And for music,if you must, Orb live in 93 disc A and B once through. No more, no less. It is the best music for tripping. It has this strange way of shifting your whole world around in the most unexpected ways. It drifts in to the scene just when you need it, and leaves without notice when you are done with that thought. There is no good way to explain it, other than it will blow your mind.
Also, reading or watching television is a waste of money or the hard work you did growing the shrooms. The whole point is to access a part of your mind that you don't see every day. Focusing on stupid shit to kill the time is wrong. Sit and think; you will be thouroughly enjoyed.
As far as food and drinks are concerned. Water, and maybe a slice or two of bread. Don't over do it. Let the shrooms be in control. If you get thirsty drink a sip or two of water. If don't feel good in the stomach, good. That is part of the fun, it will go away. Chew on a peice of bread. Don't freak out if things get weird in the beginning, just relax, and let the shroom be in control. I have found that during the awkward phase the best thing to do is to lie down, and enjoy it. I may be some sort of sick fuck, but that is one of the best parts of the trip IMO.
And sunglasses are necessary, preferably amber vision. They provide a nice change of scenery every once and a while, when you need to break the loop. Which will then become part of the loop.
If you are confused by this loop I speak of, you will understand eventually. But try to avoid it for as long as possible. The longer the loop the better. All my favorite trips have had long loops. And the worst, very short loops.
Don't get busted and remember no one will know you are tripping unless you tell them "I am tripping". It is a learning tool, not a recreational drug. Have respect for it and it will have repect for you. Everybody is different and every shroom is different, be sure that what you take is appropriate for the situation. The trip will only be what you make it, how much you let go.
Good luck and have fun.

I know about the loop, I think. Previous trips on other drugs had loops that sometimes went back a day or two before the trip. Thanks for the input everybody.

You might not want to play too much Pink Floyd, but Wish You Were Here is another great album...

My best trip to date, on DXM, was to the tune of The Wall. Nothing super-spectacular, but I became a part of the Wall in a nice visual scene, and had an amazing sense of belonging and awe. But I'll take your advice, and maybe just Wish You Were Here.

Here is a list of things I like to do or have:
Mirrors (not for everybody though) My dog Rain (My best trips have been spent playing in the rain) Proper clothing I like to fast/eat lightly the day before and the day of the trip. I like to shower first. (I love to feel refreshed and clean before I journey off into the unknown) Candles (I enjoy just watching the fire and watching the candles melt) Good tunes
This is just a quick list, and if I were tripping with other people or if I were to be forced to stay inside things would probably change a bit.
If I just wanted to have a fun time I would probably put on some good movies/Cd's and just goof off watching all of the distortions going on in my house, and exploring the different rooms and such. (I always feel like I need to "discover" something while tripping)
Anyway, there is a plethora of different things to do, the most important thing is to just go with the flow.

PS, although it's recommended, I'm not fasting or eating lightly or even abstaining the day beforehand (today). It's Haloween! All day Saturday though, rice and water.

Well Evan, you were right. We didn't use any of it except for we watched Alice In Wonderland, and the warm clothes were necessary. Had a fun time, but some things went wrong and I feel I should repeat the experience with better planning.

What do you mean? Pink floyd is some of the best on mushrooms... Also I usually find that the most unplanned trips are the best in my opinion. peace.
