Made this up using 650g coir, 200g verm, 65g of gypsum. Spawned with 3qts of grain spawn.
Harvested 920g from this flush after the mushrooms were trimmed and cleaned.

Fruited them in my Mini GH. The humidity is a bit low, typically around 60%, but I fold up the bag like a tent to increase this. The GH is outside, our average temps during the day was around the 20C mark and around 5 at night.

Good Looking flush. Its like a forest of Oysters!
You say you used 3 quarts(2.8 litres?) of grain spawn, that seems a large amount for 0.905kg substrate. I'm curious about that.
My record with Grey Oyster is a batch of tubes of 1kg Straw substrate colonised in 6 days with 20% rye grain spawn added (at 25 degrees C).

Kings like supplementation, I'm guessing that's why they did so well. Nice grow!

Simply folded the bags down, placed under a sprinkler for 30 min to re hydrate, drained the excess and placed back in fruiting. We will see how they do.

I used 3 Liter jars that were approx. 65% full of spawn. I did the bucket tech, so no proper pasteurizing or sterilizing and wanted the best chance of success. Also read that Kings like a heavily supplemented substrate somewhere. So I thought I would give it a bash.

I also harvested the second block I made. Results were about the same.

Cool very interesting. I love reading about different grow methods. Looks like yours works like a bomb! I didn't know about heavy supplementation for Kings, I'm gonna give it a search.
