My peyote seedlings are looking kind of "mushy." I'm keeping them under a 60 watt plant bulb. I'm afraid the pot they are in is too big and they soil isn't drying out enough/isn't warm enough. Should I get one of those covered heated seed trays or what? Thanks for the info.
Yes, let them dry and merely mist them when the soil is dry. Rot and fungus are the enemies of cacti. Make sure the seedlings are mainly on a layer of sand on top of soil as it drains faster. Before the seedlingsa are too big they can be lifted out of a pot with a knife tip and place in a new setting.
