Just a few general Questions
    #2049183 - 10/28/03 01:25 AM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I have been growing for about a year and i just have a few problems i have encountered and some questions. First off i have used to live in a different state and i could go to this place called Fleet Farm and get this compost/manure in a bag that worked like a dream for me. I was using T.C.'s and Puertos at the time and i used them for bulk and the mycelium would just colonize at an amazing rate. I tried some steer manure from walmart (i tried scented and unscented) and neither of them worked at all. What could the difference be? I mean the one worked like a dream and the other one was crap, pardon the pun. Another question, what is the optimum time to pick? should you wait until the cap flattens out or should you pick it when it is still a little more bulb shaped? I want to try agar, where can i buy agar agar at? Also where should i get light malt extract? thanks for all you responses.

You can get "Agar Agar" at Asian Food Marts, and for the malt extract you can get that at your local Beer Brewing Store. Look up "beer" in the phone book that should lead you to somthing. Here u go-

I wonder if you can't find any prepared sda agar in your medical shops or you just want to effort preparing it from the first step?I normally don't spend time on doing that and it's cheap also to buy it,anyway.Peace.(I'm not very sure that you will understand my post probably;did u understand what I mean?)
