its a trend lately isnt it? I wonder the same thing. A lot of people Ive chatted with or met have asked for advice and before getting answers tell me oh I already ate it. It scares the shit out of me. Im actually telling people horror stories I read on here and other places. I tell them DONT EAT IT! Even if I think Im 100% because everyone makes mistakes. i cant bare the thought that one of my decisions could kill a trusting friend or individual. Its a bad trend indeed. I think the friends of experienced mushroom hunters are thinking its easy to Identify mushrooms and then they assume they are right without thinking of the dire consequences. WE know what danger is due to studying so much on the subject. More places should have seminars and forays that explain the seriousness of eating mushrooms unidentified from the wild. Where Im from nothing aside from Morels are discussed. There also arent many movies on the major sites or apps that help support awareness. Theres good info in documentaries out there, but they arent on netflix or t.v. Very often :-(
