PMP humidity problem

my PMP isnt going any higher than 80% humidity. when i first made it and turned it on it went to 95% pretty quick but now it wont get any higher than 80%. the temp is staying at around 70f, could that be part of the problem? also if youre going to say make it airtight or seal up any holes, its already been done. im using a 55l tub (similar to rubbermaid, but we dont have them over here) with a double air pump for aquariums 150-200l.

it's not the pod.it's your hygrometer....they are as usefull as an ashtry on a motorbike. ps. open those ventilation holes back up otherwise you'll pressurise your pod and wreck your air pump.

its not completely air tight, i just done it to see if it made a difference. i dont think its my humidity gauge either because i put it in a jar with a cap of moist salt and ajusted it to 75% (it was really close anyway). theres no moisture on the sides and when i stick my hand in or my face near it it doesnt feel humid at all. wtf?

moisture on the sides is not a sign of humidity, only that a temperature difference exists on the inside and out side of the container. if your pod has hydroton and water in it,it is plenty humid enough, have faith. if you put your hygrometer in the back of a draw an forget you own it,you'll sleep alot better.

thanks for your help, you seem to answer quite a few of my questions . on a side note though, could the temperature make any difference to the humidity?

Maybe--higher temps would make the water in the bottom evap. faster, causing humidity to rise... but very slightly i would guess.
Trust the pod
