Well, I think a month and a half is a REALLY long time for the jars to col., esp. if you are using the pf strain.
Anyways, try the straw tek to rehydrate the cakes. Other wise, I remember someone on here saying to let the cakes sit in a bowl of distilled water over night and that would also rehydrate them. My buddy tried the water in the bowl and didn't see a differance one way or the other, but his cakes were not to dry anyways. Give it a try, see what happens. At least try it with a few of the cakes and leave the other ones, let me know what happens.

straw tek sounds good. Just keep adding water as long as the cake can absorb it.
