Pholiotina cyanopus / Finland

..in my front yard!

I'm really starting to like my new place even more and more!
As of today (08/23), the rains came again and my yard started fruiting a lot, ranging from Conocybes to fat Boletes. A couple of promising Pholiotina/Conocybe pins spotted too. I have a stronge feeling that the season is only beginning, atleast hoping to!
I'm putting up another ID request of the another small mushroom probably later on or including it in some other compilation of mushroom pictures. But for now, I'll keep an eye for these Pholiotinas and keep studying. An awesome opportunity as they're literally growing 3 steps away from my front porch.
And thanks for the ID you all!

1. maybe an Agrocybe species. Tubaria is also a reasonable guess. 2. probably Mycena

Gills of the second species.

Wasn't planning eating these and even if I stumbled across a bluing conocybe someday, most likely wouldn't be eating them. Conocybes looks scary. But shame about the stem I lost, it was insanely blue at the base.
Need to go liberty cap hunting someday.

I can't really tell what colour the spores would be from the gill pic. If they're brown it could be a Conocybe. If they're white a Mycena.

Ok, found another one of the second species and this time managed to plug it out with the stem. This one doesn't seem to blue as much as the earlier specimen but I think I'll spore print this one.

Wow, cool. It seems you were right about them being Conocybe cyanopus.

These seem to be popping now in my yard.

They grow from Deschampsia cespitosa grass or something similiar. Would be freaking awesome if some liberty caps showed up too heh. Seems to drop cinnamon colored spores, but I'll keep printing. It's insane how much such a small mushroom can smell?! These really "reek" mushroom.

You probably need micro to be sure and its likely Pholiotina not Conocybe.

So pholiotina is conocybe or what? I'm confused. Pholiotina sounds even more scary than conocybe as a word heh. I don't have access to microscope but anyway I'm happy with the findings, not eating these anyhow. What is the best way to storage them after they're dry? Think I'll keep collecting these as they come by.
edit: aah got it, red about the taxonomy.

Pholiotina (Conocybe) cyanopus
or
Pholiotina (Conocybe) smithii
you need to do some microscopy. its likely the former though Very Cool finds, when someone says it might be conocybe cyanopus its usually like mmmmhmmmm
But wow, when you have them its hard to miss the bluing, mine didnt fruit this summer =( maybe in the fall.

Awesome! Especially since you didn't realized how rare your find was and now you find it in your own yard! You must be blessed by the mushrooms gods!
Can you provide more photos of the habitats?
I hope you find more!
You should edit your first post and change the subject to get more readers/views of this magic find!

Woop! awesome!
try using scissors to trim some grass away from the lens, you can go extreme and clip all around it, but be careful when moving the blades next to them, stupid suckers are barely held onto the substrate. I havent seen many photos of Ph. smithii, but from what i can tell you have Ph. caynopus. Keep em coming!
also they really like to hide in the moss, deep in there, might have to sift around gently in teh deep moss.
