suggestion for boiling jars

It is generally better to pressure cook substrate jars but to those who dont have one available, I think that adding a large amount of salt to the water in which they are boiling the water would be good since it would raise the boiling point of water allowing a higher temperature treatment.

Even adding a huge amount of salt would not raise the boiling point of the water enough to make any difference.

Boiling plain water works just fine for the PF tek.

I thought salt lowered the boiling point...that is why you add salt when boiling anything in general, so it will getto a boil faster---->meaning lowering the boiling point....cant quite remember...been way too long since College Chemistry

yeah my mistake, the increase in boiling point is minimal, around 4 degrees.
