i believe that generally the darkness induces the hallucinations because it gives so much freedom to the imagination.

Yes! Trees at night are MEGA trippy, and a whole bunch of trees at night is even more trippy
Not to mention the darkness, sounds, wildlife (glowing eyes in the dark!), and general ambience of a forest at night.

I would have to agree. The forest at night is an incredible experience while under the influence of mushrooms.
Especially if you've recently watched Lord of the Rings (the woods of Lothlorien).

Just hop[e it isn't in West Girgina. I saw Wrong Turn with Elisha Dushku.. Inbred mountain people eating humans for years.
Or bears like in the PNW or Cougars.

Darkness helps you see more shit, even alittle darkness. I was tripping at the beach the other day and was barely seeing anything...and I ate an eighth. I was tripping hard, I mean I had trouble walking and my thoughts were *so* deep heh. I went into a tatoo place and started seeing crazy visuals instantly so I experimented, it turned out even sitting in the shade made me more visual. I guess direct midday sunlight is just too much.
Tripping in a forest is pretty crazy too, just cuz so many things are happening at once, theres always eye candy. Then you boost that up w/ darkness you're in for a fun night
But I personally like setting changes. I wouldn't want to *always* trip in one place under the same conditions, even a forest at night hehe. Trip in different places and keep it cool
