You G2G'd a tablespoon of grain into a jar and had it colonize in less than 3 days?

I know that's not the case, so I must be confused.

call guinness.
cause thats crazy.
if u g2g a pint into a half pint of new grain, i can see the happening.  or ur just using small jars.
for me "myco" 1qt>g2g>7 "myco qts" is about 7 days +/- 1 day at 75f

I made that mistake earlier - glad to see it's understandable.
Edmunter said "gs2g" which I thought meant grass seed g2g. Apparently it actually meant grain slurry.
But, for that matter, as I posted about when I thought it was grass seed, I have definitely commonly had 2-or-3-day-colonization with a spoonful's worth of colonized grass seed as inoculant.
So maybe you can still call Guinness if you want...

thats a pretty cool!
as u know, i just started RGS, never tried it before, so I'm curious how well it does for g2g.  so u are saying u got a qt jar to colonize in 3 days with 1 TBS of colonized RGS?

Yeah, maybe not a 'level' tbsp but just a bit of a shake from the jar. Like I said in that post I used like 750mL colonized seed to inoc maybe 30-38 pint containers and got 3-day colonization.
Do note the temps were like 72-74F

violet, u mean the pp5 pints?  cause i can see that, the grain is more spread out and flat, compared to qt jars, where its more tall and deep.  that probably plays to ur advantage in terms of colonization time.  I'm sure ill see shorter time to colonize with RGS, but for qt jars, i still can't see it being 3 days unless i used 1 qt RGS>4 qts other grain.  but who knows, maybe it will happen

Yes its grain slurry to grain.  Ive always used G2G to mean seed or grains, sorry for the confusion.

If you are interested here is the thread http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/10648149/fpart/19/vc/1/nt/46#10648149

and this is where im at with my bit

This all took 3 days to get to inoculating mono tub......INCREDIBLE!!!!!
It all started with LI which took 5 days to colonise the original jar I slurried.  Some exciting shit.  Eatyoualive is seeing fruits from clone in 19 days..........

So I slurried the rye grains today but I couldnt get a decent enough purchase on the blade so it kinda half slurried it.  It was too full which was perfect because it has now given me the chace to compare 3 quarts G2G transfer verses 3 quarts Gs2G plus a pp5 thrown in for luck from the same jar.

I may have added too much slurry to a couple of the jars but im thinking shit cant get , or be done worse that this, so Im on the up.

I just had one of those days where everything I touched in the SAB felt wrong, fell over or was worked in the wrong way.  Sometimes everything go really smoothly and I love it and others like I have 3 hands/arms and only 2 holes.

So just checked and ALL jars are showing signs of growth within 19 hours,  Slurry jars seem slightly ahead at this point.

19 hours - GS2G jars are just ahead of the G2G jars

Just checked at 40 hour mark and the GS2G jars are looking almost dont.  There are a couple of spots left to clonise and a whitening up due to the slurry water makes it darker Myc to begin with.  G2G has hardly moved

40 hours GS2G jars are way ahead of the G2G

I expect GS2G to be finished tomorrow then I have to leave them for the G2Gs to catch up, they can consolidate b4 spawning.  Im going to use bucket tek and like you Eat 1 Jar slurry 4 jars spawn unless there is any other ratios you'd like me to try?

So these gs2g jars took 2 days 22hours to colonise
The grain g2g jars are at least 3 days behind.

Ive just put my first slurry mono into incubated.  3 1/2 GRAIN  1 1/2 SLURRY.

Don't even bother with the rubber ring. Cut the gasket off of a metal jar lid and silicone that to the blade assembly.  It creates a much better seal.

Thats why my jar spill out water trough the blender assembly, i will use it without the gasket. Also my blender assembly is rusting. So that why i will buy those amazon ones... Is there a better option to those amazon ones? Or they are good to go.

Also when i tried to blend a reishi culture it took longer to dissolve into the water, after 5 seconds i still saw big agar pieces floating. Maybe a ice blender? or a fusion blender?

Have you discovered that it is better to leave everything in the jar? Or is that just a preference?

I can't for the life of me imagine what you're saying here. What gasket on a metal jar lid?

Ah, so I'm actually cutting a hole through the metal lid. Okay, maybe I'll give that a go and see if I can silicone the fucker in there.

Did someone, maybe Muda or Pasty, do that and take pictures earlier? I went back like 6 pages and didn't see it so maybe I'm imagining it?
