Agar

Let see if I did understand:

I put some water in a pot, then boil it with some nutritive substance, pour it through a filter, then boil the resulting broth and add the right amount of agar to get an easy to work solidified medium, then PC, boil or microwave, right?

Q: Can I prepare the broth with whatever I want, such as carrots, green beans, chickenhearts, bullballs, dogfood, fish, chocolate, cauliflower, whatever you can imagine,....???

Sorry for the long post

More or less, yes.

Commonly used are potatoes, somewhere I also saw one with green beans....
You can allways experiment, but base your experiments on the recipes known to work.
