I had that truck (short bed) in the same color for many years. I loved that thing! Super reliable, a little hard on gas--3.0L V6. It revs high at highway speed, but the little gears are great for torque in the trails/woods.

luckily it actually gets better mpg than my current vehicle  (V8 95 lexus)

I would find a Wrangler with a 6cyl if that could be an option for you. I've got one and I love it. You could always get a roof rack or trailer if you need more room. I've found that they hold their value pretty well because there are a lot of people that collect them

There are none around that are in my price range unfortunately. This purchase has to be a daily driver, not just a toy. And i don't have a whole lot of spare cash at the moment. I'm selling my current vehicle and breaking even if i go with the truck, which is another plus if i go that direction.

The jeep is not as comfortable. The soft tops are loud and annoying. Very little security for leaving junk in the jeep. The motor will not make it to 200K with out a rebuild. My 97 made it to 160K.

you dont usually wanna buy a truck/suv that has been lifted....if its not done professionally, and well there can be a lot of issues with the U joints n the angle of the drive shaft

you def dont want a 4cyl jeep

id honestly look a bit more.....i dont think either of them are really a great idea unless the t100 has super super low mileage

tho my friend had a t100 and it lasted up until he was offroading in the sand dunes in NC and apparently fucked up the 4wd system so now its only 2wd
