The coarse vermiculite is what I've always used. As a matter of fact, I couldn't find any other kind. It works great!

I found the fine verm to be the best.
When you do get some, buy the large bag, the HUGE bag. I was buying small bags for about $4 then I found one for $20 that was 50x the size!

The fine stuff seems to work the best.

The captain isnt't kidding when says that he has a massive bag of vermiculite.
Thier enought in that bag too last 2-3 years.
