I want your thoughts!
"I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out! Try to do so without any coaching!"

does this need to be answered, imo it can apply to many things, but im sure none of them were the intended answer because my brain sucks and i am not capable of deep thinking that requires words, only colors..

I'm not even sure if it's a riddle or not. At another board I post at, there's a thread with about 5 pages of people trying to crack it.

the end of it "try to do so without any coaching" throws me off. it's the words "do so" that confuse me. could I interpret it as "try to [work at it] without coaching"???
-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

The letter "e", which is the most common letter in the English language, does not appear once in the long paragraph.

Most common? I always assumed the alphabet determined which letters were the most popular.... ?

what are you talking about now?
the alphabet doesn't determine anything.... it simply displays our letters in some weird order.
anyway.... I was about to say "the word 'the,' which is one of the most common words in the English language, does not appear once in that paragraph." lol but now I see that lacking the letter "e" is even more UNUSUAL.
It is UNUSUAL for the letter E to not appear in a paragraph. That's the answer right there, IMO - way to go, kb73!

yep, its the lack of a letter 'e'. i've seen this riddle in a joke book, kb73 is right.
see how long it takes you to find one sentence without the letter 'e', much less a whole paragraph.

information...... take a rock, for example. look at a rock and start listing everything you know about that rock until you can say no more. then, go out and research everything you can about that rock. what you learn will undoubtably lead to more and more questions. sometimes the way we process reality will put a limit on what we perceive so we never think about it again.... maybe you'll only come up with another synonymous word, like stone.... that they're pretty hard.... composits of minerals.... and when you see a rock, that's all it is... but then once you learn, and your awareness of its nature expands..... it's not exactly what you thought it was before... it's thicker, deeper....

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care. It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence. I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too. If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.
