Hey again... I was just wondering my friend from the netherlands has a question regarding his casing... it's BRF and verm and Innoc'd on Sept 24, birthed one cake early (at about 80 % colonization) because of suspicious contam spot. Anyways, He just a standard casing method, he dunked the cake, for 15 hours, then crumbled it, and cased it... He did not add casing ontop of the crumbled cake until the mycellium colonize some of the substrate. The casing was incubated at 83 degrees for 5 days in the dark with regualr venting, this stuff is showing through(hopefully not overlay)... Casing is now in fruiting chamber. at about 80- 85 %, 75degrees.

Comments?

I don't think you need venting.? Zero light and zero fanning untill casing layer is colonized. I really can't tell from the pics.

Looks like a few patches of rhizo growth to me (thats good), its still very thready at the edges. I would just give it a while, and fan 2-3 times a day, and a little light.
