How long should pinning take??

Now I know what most of your reckon about ready made grow kits, but where I am from (Europe) they are freeley available and legal so they are convenient!

Anyway, my kits has colonised perfectly, lovely thick white fluffy mycelium covering 100% of the surface. That was over two weeks ago, and as yet nothing else has happened. No sign of pinning, no aborts nothing really. In fact the mycellium seems to be getting thicker and is creeping up the walls of the container. Temperature does vary a bit between about 68-75F and the container is in a light position.

Can anybody offer any advice on this setup (yeh, yeh, I know grow kits suck! PF etc etc)

How long should I wait before the little fellas make their long awaited apperance? Is there anything I can do to speed things up?

My brain is getting hungry!!!

it sounds like you have overlay...in the future use temperature cycling. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...;o=&fpart=1
this forces pinning at anystage.

kits don't suck. my first grow was with a myco bag. Using grain and the pf tek is cheaper and more effective for high yeids.

sorry for the double post. you can cold shock it (put in the fridge for 6 to 12 hours). its kind of hard to say without you telling me what kind of kit it is.

Hey this kinda doesnt have anything to do with your post, but why are you trying to grow them, when you can buy 30 grams for 12 pounds when the kit costs 25 pounds?????
