where do i buy brown rice flour?
i went to this grocery store called Bushes and they only had white rice flour, is that ok to use...prolly not but i thought i'd ask.

You can make your own BRF using a coffee mill (bean grinder) and actual brown rice. Fresh BRF. Maybe a health food store would carry the pre-made powder form...

make your own brown rice flour out of brown rice. use a coffee grinder. i've seen long grain brown rice in every grocery store i've ever been to.

Health food store, its the only place i've seen it. Or you could use unbleached Wheat Flour, but its not as nutricious

You can either mill your own as has been said, or you can use just about any organic whole grain flour. You want organic flour to make sure it does not have nasty chemicals in like fungicides, quite common with rye/wheat flours. I have had excellent results with rye flour cakes in the past, but I am a working with budgie food (millet) at the mo, mainly cos its easy to find and like the budgie, cheap!

If you have a marsh supermarket in your area, they carry them right along side the regular flour. Thats the only place i have found it... Just for comfort, i've tried making brf and buying brf, and they both work just as well.... good luck.

i get mine from dillons. the brand is "bob's red mill". it is a little over 3 bucks and you get 22oz.
