Is it OK to mist when you have a pin?
    #2030540 - 10/21/03 11:33 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

I was wondering cuz my zoodoo is dry...it dried out when I nuked and left a corner of the plastic lid open and let too much moisute evaporate. I mixed in a half colonized Thai Koh cake with some straw and zoodoo...the zoodoo isnt colonizing do to the lack of moisture, but there is a pin or 2 forming...the container has been covered and incubating at 86-88 deg F for a week. I plan on putting in fruting chamber tomorrow to see what happens...

i i remeber correctly you want to mist the sides of the container because this will raise the humm. over the whole casing and it will not damage the mycellieum(sp)

yes, you should be misting the terraruim if it's not at the proper humididy.

you shouldn't be directly misting the pins or soaking the casing.

you can mist the pins just don't overdue it and keep the water bottle a ft or 2 above the casing so your not blasting it
