Send A Postcard To A Little Boy Who Is Terminal 3

All this little boy wants is birthday cards/postcards. His parents gave him the key to the PO Box and he gets so excited to see his name on the mail.
I think it'd be cool if we Shroomerites could find the time to write a letter, card, or send a postcard to this little boy.
The address is on the bottom of the websites' article. If you don't know how to read and can't find it, PM me and I'll give it to you lol
Quote:
A 5-year-old Massachusetts boy battling cancer said all he wants for his upcoming birthday is a box of birthday cards. Danny Nickerson, of Foxboro, Massachusetts, will turn six on July 25. He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor this past October -- one of the most chemotherapy-resistant cancers. As a result, he has since stopped going to kindergarten. The boy gets lonely from time to time, and is always happy to get cards with his name written on them.
“He can recognize his name now,” Carley Nickerson, Danny’s mother told ABC News. “When he saw his name on the package from magical fairies on Easter, he was so happy.” But the packages and cards stopped after Easter.
“He had 33 radiations from November through December last year,” Nickerson said. “We are now getting chemo therapy every two weeks.” Doctors tell Nickerson that less than 10 percent of the children diagnosed with this type of cancer live longer than 18 months. “I don’t really believe in that. He is doing great,” Nickerson said. “Every day is a blessing for us,” So far, Danny has received about 40 letters.
“I gave him to key to the P.O. box,” Nickerson said. “He was so excited when he opened it.” Nickerson said Danny loves Lego and Super Mario.
“I wish Lego makes Super Mario toys,” Nickerson chuckled. “That would really make him happy.”

Just realized I have 3 boxes of legos that I've been sitting on that I was going to use as gifts, but got my little brother something else instead and never sent em. Think I might just send out these three boxes to this address instead. Seems like a plan.

16 people so far on my end that are doing it. Hopefully they keep telling people around them and that number grows exponentially! Made the deal that each person that does it can have a free gram of Blackberry Kush or .25 shatter. So Ill know if they don't !

It's completely free to send letters anywhere in the world right?
I'll make the little guy something it's cool to know he'll read it and be super happy.

I want to send him some candy and a postcard with this quote written on it-
“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.”- Alan Watts
Then write something like Enjoy your time, relax and be happy.
Or I was thinking of sending the Desiderata to him,
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

This may explain that trade rating...
This kid lives in Foxboro, Mass., right? I should send little Danny some football stuff, he'd like that...
Seriously... good post, Viva. I'll mail him something Tues. He'll get it by the 25th.
And you may want to seek some professional help with this postcard thang before you need an intervention. In the mean time I'll mail you something too, ya know, to help with the cravings.
