what I said in the other thread.... the war against spider mites is long and hard. If you don't totaly irradicate them they will come back and piss you off to no end. I wouldn't mess with ladybugs or any alternative type pesticide solutions. You need to hit 'em hard with some biochemical warfare.

here it is again. works great, now that we're bring in those honies. bugs? what bugs? **scratches*** **fidgets** **scratches*** bugs? what bugs?
simple recipe: 1 cup H20 1 tablespoon chopped jalepeno or red pepperflakes (yeh the kind ya put on za) 2-4 cloves garlic chopped throw it on a pan, heat to ~100-150F let cool put in a spray bottle (leave out chunks-o-garlic/pepper) Zaps bugs dead, kills white fly, spider mites, etc.....
found this recipe on an organic site somewhere, sometime...or was it all a dream?

What do ladybugs eat? If it is the other bugs, what happens to them when the other bugs are irradicated? Have y'all used 'em inside? My dad has used them in his outdoor veggie garden. I don't really know how well the worked though.

how didn't i think of it before? rapine mites! or whatever they are, can't remember for sure. anyways, they're mites you buy on the agro stores of any well developed country, in the form of innoculated leafs usually. you spread them around the infestations of the spider mites and they overrun the spider mites and it is beautiful to see how they poke and suck the inside pulp of the spider mites...

they usually die, they like animal protein. they'll migrate for more spider mites or tasty mites... don't worry, they won't munch on your plant afterwards! thats why they've been used successfully against spider mites. FH

get some safers soap. Spray them everywhere, especially under the leaves. Lady bugs werk well, but safers soap you can get at any garden shop/hardware store.

the recipe doesn't hurt salvia, or basil, but you could always do a test spot first. the smell does stick around a bit though. my cat hates it. and garlic on the fingers...ICK!
fries the mites dead!! I'd also recommend cleaning the entire plant area with hot soapy water. b/c these lil' mfers will come back.

just increasing the RH in the room will slow these things down. otherwise just use the pepper/garlic spray on a test spot see if it'll burn the buds, probably not.

I would probably take into consideration the length of time til they're done budding and perhaps not spray them with anything. If they're not being ravished that bad and they're close to being done i wouldn't spray them with anything because there won't be enough time for all the stuff in the spray to break down and not taste like cigarettes or hot peppers or whatever it is you sprayed on it.

Thanks for the replies...
In this flower room I have plants that are at multiple stages...
So, I just can't let them go until harvest because I have plants that are two weeks into flower and two weeks from finishing...
Any suggestions???

Perhaps be vigilant to the ones that are a ways off, and just let the ones that are almost done finish out, get them out and keep the spraying of the ones that are almost done.
Then perhaps take some time once the ones in their latest stages are done budding are done and do not use the grow room until you've cleaned it. Otherwise it'll just be a battle forever and ever and ever. Amen.

kill them ALL! BE BRUTAL!! use harsh chems. blast them. no nonsense. put your plants into veg and blast the mites with dicofol of whatever pesticide your local greenhouse advizes. try to treat 2 months before planned harvest. this should work.
letting them ravage your plants? bad!
they will wither into cobwebby crap!
right now i have a buddy growing some of mine indoors with his and hes got them! he also doesnt have a working fan and only waters at night apparently. also vegitates at 12/12. (im worried about mildew)
i just found this out and im a little bemused.
i told him to leave the light on, unfortunately this wont help kill the mites.
i hope i dont have to buy him more shit:P
